Ball State senior forward Kate Endress, a former standout at Evansville Memorial, has been named the ESPN The Magazineâ??s CoSIDA Academic All-America Player of the Year, womenâ??s basketball/university division. Endress is one of four players to be pictured along with a brief review of her career at BSU.
Hereâ??s what it says on Page 105 of the May 09, 2005, issue of ESPN The Magazine:
â??A two-time Academic All-America selection who earned a spot on last yearâ??s first team, Endress has posted a 3.95 cumulative grade point average as an Entrepreneurship major and was the MAC Player of the Year. She averaged 18.5 points this past season and on the schoolâ??s all-time lists, ranks second in career points (1,843) and three-pointers (205).â?
