New GBB sectional alignments approved for next four years

The sectional assignments for the four-class
sports of girls and boys basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball for the
next four years ââ?¬â?? the 2007-08 through 2010-11 seasons ââ?¬â?? were approved March 23 by
the IHSAA Executive Committee.
 
The tournament format was developed by the 10-person Realignment
Committee, forwarded to the IHSAA Executive Committee for its approval, and
released March 26. The Realignment Committee consists of 10 high school
administrators from around the state representing all three IHSAA legislative
districts and all four enrollment classifications.
 
Sectional
hosts for each sport will be determined by the schools in each sectional and
announced at a later date. All sectionals are six teams unless noted. For girls
basketball, the new sectional alignments are as follows:
