> VIEW: Photo Gallery from Jon B Photography A performance like the one that Damien??s Kama Bailey put on today usually relates to a victory. Unfortunately the opponent was the #3 ranked Punahou Buff N Blu who put on the all-around team game on both sides of the ball. Punahou defeated Damien 55-38 at a rare 2:00p game at Punahou??s Alexander Field. The Buff N Blu improve to 6-2 and will most likely move up to #2 in the state rankings after Kahuku??s upset loss last night. But their season will end next week against arch-rival Iolani as St Louis clinched the ILH title and the 1 berth into the HHSAA State Tournament.
The Monarchs also seem to have found their quarterback in Anthony ??Bones? Tuitele. He finished the game 8 of 17 for 149 yards and 2 INT??s. But Punahou, as typical under Head Coach Kale Ane??s guidance, just gets better throughout the year. Quarterback Cayman Shutter has emerged as the more consistent player going 16 of 21 for 292 yards, 1 INT, and 5 touchdowns. He also ran for another score. Favorite target was leading receiver Robbie Toma, who caught 4 of those TD strikes.
