The
Punahou Boys Varsity Tennis Team opened their season on Saturday, February 23rd
versus the Mid Pacific Owls. Erik Pang (Punahou) led the charge at first
singles by defeating Shane Adam Young 6-2, 6-0 at first singles. Last year’s
HHSAA State Champion Doubles team of Erik Shoji and Alex Ching (Punahou) crushed
Andy Sagucio and Kevin Lum 6-1, 6-0. Shoji and Ching, both seniors, are dual
sport athletes for Punahou playing Volleyball and Golf, respectively, this
season.
