The Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association has released its third set of polls for the 2009-10 girls basketball season, and we have a pair of new No. 1s in Class 2A Austin and 1A Vincennes Rivet.
4A Ben Davis and 3A Fort Wayne Elmhurst remain at No. 1, but there is mucho going on everywhere else:
• 4A: Carmel swaps spots with Warren Central in moving from fifth to fourth, Bloomington South moves up one spot to ninth, Penn jumps up four slots to ninth, and South Bend Clay rises two notches to 10th.
• 3A: Rushville swaps spots with Norwell in moving from third to second, while Crawfordsville inches up one space to sixth.
• 2A: Austin moves up one spot from second to first, Fort Wayne Luers rises two places to second, Taylor likewise ascends two spots to third, Winchester moves up one to fifth, Wabash nudges up one place to seventh, Boone Grove bumps up two slots to eighth, Jimtown rises three places to ninth, and Hagerstown leaps five spots to 10th.
• 1A: Vincennes Rivet trades places with Fort Wayne Canterbury in going from second to first, Kouts swaps with Barr-Reeve in moving from fifth to fourth, Jac-Cen-Del does the same in switching from seventh to sixth with University, Tri-County jumps five spots to ninth, and Randolph Southern ascends four spots to 10th.
